1000 club

This being my second post should contain some details about who, what and of course the why. I am a single mum who works full time (and there isn't any half time whistle for a break mind you). I have 3 children, 2 having flown the nest that I created and one little bird who will never fly away because she belongs to the 1000 club. This is an exceptional club because there are so few members, apparently 1000 worldwide (well maybe more but doctors are ??? when presented with a member). Little Bird has had her wings clipped because she has a rare genetic syndrome that you will have never heard of "Cohen's Syndrome". She will never fly away like her brothers but rest here on her happy perch with me...and thats where we are now...feathering our nest....making good while we can and solving the problems and battling the storms that make our flight difficult.
While Little bird is a rare and beautiful species she does require 24 hour care and supervision and I have been doing that for 20 years, the last ten on my own. I do it because  this is my other full time job and I'm paid in love...not that I have ever heard those words from Little Bird but a hug is worth a million words.
