Precious friends and the Enemy Pool

This post is a thank you to my dear old Dad, he will never read this as he has never operated a computer and is completely happy never to do so. But what he can do is amazing. He belongs to that rare breed of true tradesmen who know their craft upside down, inside out and backward. I don't believe this world will ever witness men of this skill ever again.....I used to call my eldest son New Year New Career....he's so of the current generation, but not my Dad. He is old. old school and I couldn't be more grateful. He was a carpenter, I suppose I could say builder but I think carpenter sits more firmly on his shoulders. Time after time he has laboured away as we blundered on in "The Renovating Years". This man builds in hardwood, none of this sissy, easy pine stuff! So I am forever grateful, my house will hold tight, weather the wind and rain and be a testament to the stuff that dad built.....he currently is forming up my patch of ground so it can be level and acceptable to the enemy, the pool.....and I know that will be just right too. Forever in my eyes you are my hero.

(Tools of trade seem to be a XXXX these days............and thats a beer brand for anyone concerned he was suddenly into X-rated stuff ) Cheers Dad xox

Much mwaaah to my precious friends who upon realising I was house-bound came and devoured lunch with me after a hit and miss bike ride.......and just to show what great friends they are they had bought pine lime Splice iceblocks....definately Heaven on a Stick
